The Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Clinic, a recipient of a Parkinson Voice Project 2021 SPEAK OUT! & LOUD Crowd Grant, is accepting new clients with voice difficulties caused by Parkinson disease. Approximately 90 percent of people with Parkinson's disease are at risk for developing voice weakness that can lead to serious speech and swallowing difficulties. The two-part program combines education, speech therapy and ongoing group sessions to alleviate these disorders. Clients are treated by graduate-level student-clinicians under the direct supervision of licensed and certified faculty members.
