Forward-thinking. Collaborative. Rigorous, yet flexible. Student-focused.

These are just a few words that describe the energetic environment of CSD at Iowa.

Our faculty, staff and students are passionate about their work and hold themselves to high standards, whether it's making exciting research breakthroughs in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology, fostering excellence in educating future researchers and clinicians, or serving clients from the surrounding community and the state of Iowa with speech, language, or hearing therapies.

CSD at Iowa boasts a long legacy as one of the first programs of speech pathology and audiology. We pride ourselves to continue to develop leaders who will shape the future of communication sciences and disorders.

New CSD building coming in 2025: We've begun the exciting process of planning construction of a new facility -- to be again located within Iowa's healthcare campus -- that will offer state-of-the-art facilities for research, clinical care, and teaching. Take a look at the architect's rendering to see what's in store for CSD.
