The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (formerly called the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology) at The University of Iowa is one of the U.S.'s oldest and largest programs. At the heart of its legacy is a commitment to better understanding the causes and treatment for communication disorders, training students, engaging with colleagues and families, and serving clients with speech, language, and hearing disorders for more than 70 years.

Iowa's Master of Arts program in Speech-Language Pathology and Clinical Doctorate in Audiology educational program are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; additional details are available on our Graduate Programs webpages.
