Biography

"My research focuses on the mechanisms of voice production in normal and pathological phonations, especially hyper functional voice disorders. Using a multidisciplinary approach and machine learning, I aim to enhance clinical voice assessment through laryngeal imaging, acoustic voice analysis, and advanced computational models. I hold dual PhDs in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. In 2022, I received the Sataloff Award. My current work with Dr. Eric Hunter examines clinic room acoustics for accurate voice assessment and develops machine learning models for automated voice disorder detection. Future goals include combining laryngeal imaging with acoustic analysis for better diagnosis.”
