Title: CSD Undergraduate Honors Student Research Festival, Part 2
Speaker: Annika Dearden, Kelsey Klassen, Chloe Menneke, Heaven Ross
This session marks the second part of the CSD Undergraduate Honors Student Research Festival, featuring research presentations by four undergraduate honors students. Annika Dearden will present a study comparing the effects of EEG-based neurofeedback training and behavioral feedback training on auditory selective attention. Kelsey Klassen will explore whether reading motivation accounts for variance in reading comprehension skills in adolescents who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as in typically hearing adolescents. Chloe Menneke will present a study adapting the adult Concealing Stuttering Questionnaire (CS-Q) for youth who stutter and examining patterns of self-reported concealment behaviors. Finally, Heaven Ross will present findings from a pilot study evaluating ultrasound imaging as a novel, objective method for identifying underlying articulatory differences in children with speech sound disorders.
