NSSLHA
The University of Iowa's local National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) chapter is a student-run organization for undergraduate and graduate students in speech-language pathology and audiology. Chapter meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month a 7-8 pm over Zoom. They also host and coordinate many other events in person and virtually throughout the school year.
Mission
To represent the members of the Association in Departmental and University of Iowa affairs; to select representatives to serve on Departmental committees and at faculty meetings; to encourage professional interest among university students in the study of human communication sciences and disorders; and to advocate for and support the populations we serve.

SAA
The University of Iowa's Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Chapter is a student-led organization for undergraduate and graduate students interested in audiology. The chapter meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00–8:00 PM in the Health and Sciences Academic Building. Additionally, the chapter organizes several volunteer opportunities and social events throughout the academic year.
Mission
The mission of the University of Iowa Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Chapter is to serve as a collective voice for audiology students and to advance their rights, interests, and professional welfare. The chapter engages students in lifelong professional activities that promote and advance the field of audiology while providing education, advocacy, and service to both the profession and the public.

CSD Research Club
The University of Iowa's CSD Research Club, (Communication Sciences and Disorders) is a student-led organization for undergraduate students majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences who are interested in exploring research opportunities. The club meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM via Zoom. Each meeting features presentations on current research projects and past findings, with guest speakers including professors, lab directors, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers. The club also shares resources and contact information to help members get involved in research labs, start independent projects, or pursue honors theses.

The mission of the CSD Research Club is to serve as a gateway for students to engage in research within the speech and hearing field. The club aims to inspire and support students in their academic and professional development by fostering curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on experience in research.
