Brian Peterson, SLPD, CCC-SLP
Research focus
Brian's primary clinical focus area is management of sequelae related to head and neck cancer (HNC), including total laryngectomees. He has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of dysphagia in this population, having regularly worked with patients receiving radiation, with or without chemotherapy. Additionally, Brian has served the total laryngectomy population assisting in alaryngeal voice restoration strategies, including management of tracheoesophageal voice prostheses. Brian has extensive dysphagia experience, including videofluoroscopy and FEES administration and interpretation. Brian's secondary clinical focus area is voice and upper airway disorders. Brian has extensive experience with transoral and transnasal laryngoscopy/stroboscopy and is involved in clinic research aimed at improving patient outcomes.
