Biography

Brian is a postdoctoral researcher in the Speech, Signs, and Systems Lab under the mentorship of Ethan Kutlu, investigating individual differences in speech perception and multilingual speech processing. He earned his doctoral degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) and the University of the Basque Country. His doctoral research focused on understanding the sources and functions of individual differences in speech perception, particularly how listeners differ in their sensitivity to subtle differences in speech sounds and the consistency of their speech perception.
