CSD researchers' hearing care study named “Trial of the Year” by leading medical journal

Researchers in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences received national recognition after their hearing care study was named Editor’s Choice: Clinical Trial of the Year for 2025 by JAMA Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery. The study found that professional audiology care improved patient outcomes more than higher-cost hearing aid technology alone, offering important insights into accessible and effective hearing care.

CSD researcher furthers understanding of neurogenic communication disorders through research and instruction
