Chaewon Park joined the Ph.D. program in Fall 2020. She works with Dr. Jean K. Gordon in the Language in Aging and Aphasia lab. Her research focuses on word retrieval changes in people with neurogenic communication disorders, particularly aphasia and dementia, and in the typical aging population.

She earned a B.A. in Thai and a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul, South Korea, and an M.A. in Communication Disorders from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea. She completed an internship in the Social Human–Robot Interaction Laboratory at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology before joining the Ph.D. program.

She enjoys traveling, swimming, and cooking in her free time.
