Katherine Pribyl is a combined AuD/PhD student and work under the mentorship of Elizabeth Walker and Phillip Combiths. She attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science, in the Doctor of Audiology class of 2028, and began her PhD Fall 2026. 

Combining interests in clinical linguistics and pediatric audiology, her work investigates speech and language development in children with hearing loss. Katherine is particularly interested in multilingual language development in hearing loss and reducing barriers to care for those patients. 

Outside of academics, she enjoys hanging out with her cats and hiking.
