Kudos to Rich Tyler!

He has been named a Carver College of Medicine Impact Scholar in recognition of his major scientific impact across the span of his career. The award is based on productivity and the impact of a faculty member based on the recognition of published research articles by other scientists and scholars. 

Rich earned his Ph.D. from Iowa in Pyschoacoustics, and while his primary appointment is in UIHC's Department of Otolaryngology, he is also a professor in CSD.

Over the course of his career, Rich has published over 270 articles and edited five books, and in recent years, focused on tinnitus research studies in an attempt to help those patients.
