Biography

Deepthi Crasta joined CSD as a doctoral student in Fall 2023. Before coming to Iowa, she completed a bachelor's in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (B.A.S.L.P.) in 2018 from Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore University, India, and a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MSc. SLP) in 2020 from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Mangalore.  Immediately prior to joining UIowa, Deepthi worked as a clinical supervisor and instructor at a private teaching hospital (A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre) in India.

Away from academic pursuits, she enjoys ballroom dancing,  exercising, and exploring different cuisines. Deepthi's hometown is Mangalore in the state of Karnataka, India.
