Researchers in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences received national recognition after their hearing care study was named Editor’s Choice: Clinical Trial of the Year for 2025 by JAMA Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery. The study found that professional audiology care improved patient outcomes more than higher-cost hearing aid technology alone, offering important insights into accessible and effective hearing care.
