Biography

Dr. Ingo R. Titze is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the School of Music at the University of Iowa. He is also the Executive Director of the National Center for Voice and Speech. With a background in physics (Ph.D.) and electrical engineering (MSEE), Dr. Titze has applied his scientific expertise to the study of voice and speech. His research interests include biomechanics of human tissues, acoustic phonetics, and voice disorders. Dr. Titze has published over 450 articles and authored several influential books, including "Principles of Voice Production".
