The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is growing. Two tenure-track faculty positions, one in Speech-Language Pathology and one in Hearing Science, are now open as part of our ongoing investment in research, education, and innovation.

Busho currently serves as the director of clinical programs – audiology.

In conjunction with “Join in Aphasia” hosted by Lingraphica, AAC Allies facilitates discussions with people with aphasia through weekly calls.

Mark Berardi will lead a course titled, “Human Voice and AI Technologies: Accessibility, Security, and Health Care,” which will showcase CSD’s commitment to innovation in the field of communication sciences and disorders.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders—one of the UI’s leading programs—welcomes students and patients into the new west campus facility.

Launched in 2010 via a capstone project, UI SAFE promotes safe hearing for children and adults.

The Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic recently moved to a new space, but its mission remains the same.

The Communication Explorers and UI-SHINE summer programs are coordinated by faculty members Jacqueline Carder, Meaghan Foody, Anu Subramanian, and Naomi Rodgers in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Williams-Kane, a second-year Au.D. student, is a graduate student clinician at the University of Iowa Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic where she provides compassionate care to patients.
